How it all started
My Story
I went on my first mission trip when I was 16. For the next 28 years, I went to several different countries. I was called to reach other nations with the love and salvation of Jesus. In the Fall of 2013, I had an awakening as Holy Spirit moved in my heart and life. My life was in complete surrender and desire for Holy Spirit to move and lead me to be who HE wanted me to be.
In the Spring of 2014, I was driving in Pensacola Florida and I heard the voice of God. It might not have been audible but it sure seemed like it. I heard God say “I want you to go to a specific country in Asia to prepare you for things to come.” I had no idea what that meant and still only have a glimpse of its meaning. The following September I was in that country. Sharing the Good News with people who had never even heard the name Jesus before excited me but also put a deep burden in my heart to reach people who have never heard of HIS great love. I went home and knew I would be back one day. In early November my 15-year-old daughter told me that God told her she was supposed to go to the country that I had been working in. My initial reaction was surprise and doubt. But God was speaking to my daughter. My whole family is 100% in on the mission God has called us to in this beautiful country.
What we are doing now
Bringing Hope
In April of 2016, after going on over 20 mission trips, I led one. It was on this trip that Holy Spirit touched my heart about starting a children’s home in the city we had been working. When I shared this with my Pastor friend and his family, he told me they have been praying for this for over 8 years. The Father’s heart for this home is to see orphans become sons and daughters, not just by having a physical parent, but a heavenly Father as well. When I returned from this trip, I knew that I was to start a non-profit to further this calling. In November of that year, I was praying one morning and clearly heard the words “Hope Has A Name”. Hope Has A Name, Inc was born.
What started as a vision for a children’s home has been expanded by God into areas that we never imagined. We currently support 3 local pastors who lead vibrant, growing congregations. Their goal is to train leaders and then duplicate that in other villages. Our heart is to support as many Pastors as we can as funding grows.
In 2016 we started doing water projects. We provide water barrels that are installed in remote villages that allow the villager to have water at a convenient location, instead of walking long distances to get water and carry it back home. We have installed these in 3 villages, with more villages in the near future. Providing these water barrels has opened doors in villages that have been hostile to the Gospel. God continues to open doors through meeting the immediate physical needs of these people.
Where we are going

The primary piece of land for our Children’s Home has been bought. Fifty-three thousand dollars was provided in 6 days. We have also purchased an additional adjacent parcel. The cost for construction of the Children’s Home is 150,000 USD was provided and the home was completed in September of 2022. Two floors have been completed with the ability to build up to five stories as necessary.

God is opening doors we never dreamed possible. We started Hope Adventures, www.hopeadventures.org as a platform for young people looking for adventure and to share the Good News. God is moving and we are excited about what is next.
